Left foot much reddish than the right

Post by ramana »

I have noticed this weird issue but not sure whom to ask. My left foot is much redder than the right. In a shower it is very noticeable. After some walk also this is noticeable. I am wondering if there is any connection to the left sided testicular, rectal and abdominal pain that I am having. The left sided levator ani muscle is also tight.

Can't ask this to a doc because it costs me a visit and am sure he is gonna pooh pooh it. So posting here for any insights from the gurus

Have you had a spinal MRI, or any other imaging studies of the spine?

Yes I did lumbar and pelvic MRI. Now as I understand there is also an MRI with dye. Did not do that.
Is there anything specific that you are thinking of?

If you can get the left-sidedness of your symptoms confirmed by a neurologist, then you either have a spinal cord problem or, if the problems extend further up your body, a problem in the brain itself, and you may need a cranial MRI just to rule out a tumor or something unpleasant. Unlikely, I would have thought.

Also, read up about CRPS on the net.

I had this too in both feet and I had tightness on both sides. After hot shower etc. I figured it was due to a tight musculature around where the arteries, nerves and veins go down the leg. Glutes, piriformis, obturators, levator ani, hamstrings and sciatic nerve etc... Its crowded around there by the hip joint!. Given that most of your problems are on the right this follows.

Age:43 | Onset Age:36 | Symptoms: First urinary and backside, golf ball feeling, now ok (no heavy exercise) . Major onset seemed to be with heavy coughing spell , felt "tearing" or nerve pain in rectum/prostate. | Helped By:Hot showers, sleep.Worsened By: Type A obsessiveness ... Stressing, what-if thinking, weights.

Just to update. GP (PCP) said that the reddishness could be due to change in gait because of the pain

I have heard that ones Balance and tight muscles in feet may effect your pevlic floor muscles :-|

Dont know if any truth in this but just a thought
Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me
