New symptom - aching pain

Post by thebattler »

All

I have been doing plenty of PT and relaxation work recently and have experienced a 50% drop in the pain at the tip of my penis which was/is the symptom that really hurts and gets me down.

Recently though I have been experiencing an aching pain in the back of my legs, hamstrings and calfs. I try to put this down to the fact that the PT is working and the decrease in the pain in the tip of my penis is due to the fact that my abdominal TP's are easing out and my tight pelvis/hamstrings may be loosening. As a typical anxious chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferer I am now thinking that this new pain could represent the onset of something more serious

I wondered if anyone else had experienced this "aching" feeling and if you think this is a positive thing or whether i need to ease off the PT?

Thanks

James

I have been experiencing pain in the inside of legs and groin since doing PT but I think the yoga stretches are just working muscles I haven't before. I experienced pain in my testicles for the first time since this came on, sitting all day in training class, so maybe things change as time progresses. I heard people say symptoms change. Frequency has calmed down so that good. Seeing PT Friday so will see what she can do. You could be right that as other muscles loosen up it triggers others. I can't believe my muscles are so screwed up. :boese:
Age 32, onset 32 Onset Aug 07- frequency was main problem in the beginning-really bad. Now 1 to 2x per night when frequency flairs up. Sore and tight lower abdominal muscles. Occasional burning after bowel movement and full feeling. What helps: Healthy diet(this is huge for me) Started drinking super greens supplament and almost going totally vegetarian to get body more alkaline, starting Prosta-Q, quercetin/zinc tablet in morning helped frequency problem I believe. Massaging abs and doing stretches helps calm down frequency when it is acting up. Wine or vodka after long day. Flexeral and melatonin at night. Swimming and light weights. .5 of Elavil every other day helps with frequency and healing process. Trying to stay positive and not stressing over this!

Ache and discomfort in the groin area is one of my later symptoms. My symptoms during onset were limited to private area, mainly my sacs. I wouldn't worry too much about it except to mention it to your PT. Expect many more variations in your symptoms in the weeks and months to come.

It will all pass, in time.
