Anyone had aThermography???

Post by rysocal »

I was wondering if anyone has had a thermography done or other type of x ray that senses heat differentiation. With chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome there is going to be inflammation at the active site. Wouldn't it be possible to measure abnormal heat differences in the pelvic floor? When I am inflamed I can feel the heat coming from my rectum and when I am doing internal work. Theres got to be a technology to measure this. They use it for early detection of breast caner. "State-of-the-art breast thermography uses ultra-sensitive infra-red cameras and sophisticated computers to detect, analyze, and produce high-resolution diagnostic images of these temperature and vascular changes" . http://www.cancure.org/breast_thermography.htm.
Age:30 | Onset Age:27 Symptoms: Golfball sensation, cramping in the rectum, inflamed/tight levator ani, occasional frequent urination, mild constipation, occasional burning testicular pain, IBS. Helped By: Exercise, Stretching (Yoga) specifically a deep lunge or pidgeon, running, beer, alcohol, relaxing, deep breathing Worsened By: Sitting for long periods (even w/ doughnut cushion), Stress, tight pants, caffeine, coffee in particular Tests: Pelvic MRI, Colonoscopy, Anal Monometry, STD, Pudendal Nerve Block. Sensations of burning, heat, itching etc are neurological phenomena unrelated to actual temperature, etc. Read this NY Times article on chronic pain.
