Always feel better first thing in the morning

Post by graeme »

is this due to relaxing when asleep ?

returns after first visit for a pee

Also if I press externaly around the protate area and penis base I can feel my pain are these my trigger points !

Is there one stretch that helps anyone for perineum pain :?:
Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me

Same here. One thing working against us during the day is gravity. It's constantly pulling on the pelvic floor. At night, you're 1) asleep so you're relaxed 2) you're horizontal so gravity isn't pulling on your muscles.

One of my PT's suggested beginning some exercises for the transverse abdominals which are muscles that wrap around your core and assist the pelvic floor muscles. In most people, these muscles are weak. Strengthening them can take some of the load off of the pelvic floor ones.

Most likely the penile, etc soreness is coming from the levator's. These can be worked on internally if you're comfortable doing that, or with the help of a good PT. You can also get some referred pain in that area from the adductor magnus muscle up near the buttock along the back of the leg. Basically where it attaches to the bone. Each of us is different so there's no magic rule that says where to look - the HITP is a good guide as to where to start though.

You also get more tired as the day goes on. I know that CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) gets worse as the day advances too.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

I have this too. And I've heard a lot of other people speak of it. Don't know why it happens.
Started: Spring 2003; high urinary frequency and pain associated with bladder filling; urinary hesitancy; pubic/prostate/perineal discomfort; Helped by: trigger point therapy, Afrin nasal spray, Cymbalta, hydrocodone (small doses), distraction. Makes worse: sex.

Not medical advice. Consult your doctor.

This is something that makes me believe that my remaining issues are largely muscular. I always feel better in the morning and am usually OK up until I have my second pee of the day.

If it were actually something damaged or swollen or inflamed would I not feel it regardless of the time of day? In addition, when I'm lying down I'm pretty much symptom free.
Age 56: Onset 2006 and bouts on and off since then. See posts for details.

I also get a flare up if I have a bad nights sleep or am working a night shift !
