Continued pain in testicles - Elavil + Lyrica+cymbalta

Post by ramana »

I had been having rectal pain in the past 4 months. That changed to testicular and suprapubic pain after doc asked me to do a semen test. Its been 21 days now and I am still bed ridden.
Am on cymbalta (20 mg) Elavil (10 mg twice a day) Lyrica(225 mg). Have got ProstQ shipped.
Doing Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol relaxation.
Stopped trigger point temporarily because found that it caused rectal pain. Doing Short wave diathermy(not very popular) but it has helped me.

What else can I do?
The medications did reduce the pain greatly. However, they have not gotten me out of the bed completely.

Hi ramana. I haven't got anything to offer you except encouragement. I'm very sorry to hear you are having such a bad episode, but a lot of guys on this website will be thinking of you. Certainly I will. I remember too well my early days of suffering what one uro called my 'moderate' pain. I cannot think what severe pain must be like. But it all got a little better in time so that I can lead a full life now. You will get better too.
Age: 71; age at onset: 65; symptoms: initially rectal spasms; currently anal pain, pereneal pain, buttock pain; all pain on the right side; early diagnosis: chronic non bacterial prostatitis; treatments 4 long courses of antibiotics, accupuncture, naturopathy; current treatments: gabapentin, terasozin, Celeza, PT.
