I was told two weeks ago from a uro that I had Bacterial Prostatitis-He preformed no exams other then taking a sample of my urine and viewing it through a microscope. I had been on Cipro for 14 days at that time "he gave me more to take". About a week into the Cipro one night I started sweating my kidneys started to hurt and it felt as if I had a weird sore throat. After that I started feeling hot cold flashing and still do. I still sweat some at night as well, but not as much. I know the web master identified it as CFS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I too had been under a ton of stress and fatigued.
My symptoms at the beginning of all of this was the golf ball in the rectum feeling-A week later the sweating thing and other side effects. I spent 19 days on Cipro about day 17 my urine started to burn as wells my prostrate.
I started taking levaquin 7 days ago “between the two Cipro and Levaquin 26 days”-I went to a second uro today and he did the digital rectal check ""ouch" and said "you're almost there" "your prostrate feels normal and small-there's no way of knowing what caused it" just take the levaquin for another week and see me in two months.
I still have the burning urine and all the other problems. I was hoping to get some opinions from the web master and other experienced chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome members. Could the Levaqiun had brought about that quick change or the combination of the two antibiotics? Is it normal for chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome to slowly correct in same manner after the initial flare up?

I would check your non-CPPS symptoms (sweating, kidney pain etc) at the Quinolone Antibiotics Adverse Reaction Forum:
http://www.fqresearch.org/
Also see the THE FLUOROQUINOLONE SYNDROME forum
http://www.fqresearch.org/
However, I should add that my symptoms used to include sweating and pain in around my lymph nodes all over my body, which one doctor ascribed to a general immune activation, as can happen when you are highly stressed for too long. It's also a symptom of CFS.

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
