Physical Therapy
I have talked to a couple of physical therapists in my area about treating my levator spasms. They said that I would need a prescription from a doctor. I have already talked to my colon- rectal specialist and he didn't want to give me the prescription. I plan to call my urologist to see if he will do it. If he doesn't want to give me the prescription for physical therapy, then its time to find doctor who will, right?
Age: 62 | Onset Age:44 | Symptoms: Golf Ball feeling in rectum | Helped By: Valium(very little) | Worsened By: Coffee and sitting. Seen two PT'S, Kathy Tisko,Dallas TX & Kelli Cutshall, Fort Worth. The PT helped some, but not much. The PT in Fort Worth said I should see a PT that treats Pelvic floor problems only. Have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Since age 44). Have some burning after urinating. Urologist said I did not have an infection of the prostate.Have some problems with BM's.WhenI do have a BM, I have to strain some to Pass the stool.Try to consume a lot of fiber, but sometimes the fiber causes gas and cramping.
