i have had this disease over 14 years now with remissions after 4 years of each flare ups nothing as ever helped me, antibiotics etc !
After the first years or two both my flare ups calmed down my first was in 1993 and lasted until 1997 the it subsided and I was symptom free for about 3 years and then bang back it was the last few years I have been about 75% better with no help from uro etc !
So I was wondering about trying this myself, how do you know where your trigger points are (is it where your pain is to touch) and what do you do to release this point ?
PS my symptoms are sore, aching burning etc in the area between the legs and dribbling
How do you do trigger point therapy to yourself ?????

How do you do trigger point therapy to yourself ?????
Age:33 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms:burning urethra, deep sore stinging around the perineum, dribbling | Helped By:when flare starts deep relaxing over a toilet to let out dribbling urine, hot bath, rubbing a heat cream on the perineum, Tens with a pad on the perineum, running, medication (solpadol) for pain. Current treatment: PT. | Worsened By:sitting, stressing over it, ejaculation, sometimes alcohol but I risk it. Been feeling a lot better last 6 months about 85% with a few flares lasting about 5 days. No longer having PT. Stretching every other night and I believe time is also a big factor for me

You really should start by buying a Headache in the Pelvis, which directly answers these questions with diagrams and clear instructions.
