chest tightening/difficulty breathing
To be safe, I'm going to have this checked out, but I'm about 99% sure this is caused by the tightening of the pelvis, that it has somewhat grasped other parts of the body and is causing tightening there as well. I can say this with near certainty because there are times when I've walked out of physical therapy and noticed that my chest felt a bit lighter. If anyone else is experiencing this please let me know. I'm a bit stressed as lately it has gotten pretty bad, it has kept me from exercising as physical exertion makes it worse. The down side to that is that exercise helps curtail the anxiety of this condition. A real perplexing situation I've found myself in.

Quick comment: classic sign of an anxiety attack. May not be true in your case, etc.

I would agree that some of these episodes are anxiety attacks, but others are a bit different. For example, today at work the task at hand involved some physical exertion, and when I finished I had to just casually walk around as I let my chest area settle down. To the best of my knowledge, I was not thinking of anything anxiety-provoking before this tension came on, I just being physically active. Another example, after playing tennis for about 1 hour the other day, I came home and had to just pace around the house because of the tension, it was even too uncomfortable to lie down.
And the kicker, deep belly breathing is highly uncomfortable in these situations and actually seems to make it worse.

That's dyspnea. You need to get your heart checked out, amongst other things. See a MD.

I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow luckily.
It says that dyspnea is a common symptom of numerous medical disorders. I had a physical back in January, normal EKG and normal lung function. Ruling out anything wrong with my heart/pulmonary system, does this sound logical that the pelvic tension is causing this, and that reversing this tension would ease the chest?

I do know that one of the causes of dyspnea is anxiety, but you are reporting exertional dyspnea, which is a different entity and should be investigated.

A friend of mine, also a bodybuilder, high anxious, borderline compulsive about his appearance-we really are one in the same person, lol; suffers from something very similar. However, his occurs just from sitting. He said his windpipe closes on him and he can't breath.
He was diagnosed with anxiety and windpipe dysfunction. Him and I laugh because I have it in the bum and he got it in the throat, but obviously its related to our personalities on some level.
He was put on an anti a but I dont think its really helping. For a while there he was really scared. I showed him some tps releases for the upper body muscles it helped him some but I dont think he stuck with them, although I think they could really help him.
Good luck,
Ss

Thats kind of my guess, that the trigger points have climbed northward as if my pelvis has said 'no vacancy'. My neck has bands of taut muscle all throughout these days.
