I don't have a picture for this, but my PT gave me 1 exercise to do to relax the pelvic muscles:
Lie on your back with your lower legs or ankles supported on a chair. Place your fingertips on the outside of your knees (right hand goes with right knee, left with left). Push your knees outward diagonally while at the same time pushing your fingertips into your knees. Your legs really shouldn't move since your fingers should be providing resistance. As you push, exhale deeply and try to relax your pelvic muscles. Hold each push for a count of 5 and do 5x per set. Do this several times a day (when possible).
If you do it right, you will relax your pelvic muscles! I have done this for a couple of weeks now and it really seems to be working for me. At first, I didn't notice much in the way of improvement, but I think it does work on a cumulative basis by giving overstressed muscles a chance to fully relax (at least for a short time).

Do you mean horizontally or away from the center of your body, the diagonal part was the only thing I didn't get.tamdc wrote:I don't have a picture for this, but my PT gave me 1 exercise to do to relax the pelvic muscles:

I knew this was going to be hard to describe...but this has been working for me, so I wanted to let people know about it.
Anyway, position your knees so that they are pointing outside your shoulders. Your knees should not be parallel to your body. Once you're on your back, just open your lower legs up by letting them fall a bit to each side. Then they'll be pointing diagonally, sort of like this: / \
