A Flaw of many antibiotics studies?

I have been having another look over some studies investigating the effectivness of antibiotics on documented cases of bacterial prostatitis. One flaw of many of these studies is that they don't report any outcome measures in terms of symptom improvement, and instead mainly focus on bactriological cure rates.

For me two of the most interesing questions similar future studies could answer are:
- How many of these patients go on to develop chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome after being cured bacteriologicaly?
- Are there any factors which predict whether or not someone may develop chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome as a result of prostatitis? For example, does it relate to the length of time someone has been symptomatic?; Did they perform strenuous exercise when symptomatic?; is it purely related to genetic factors?

Does anyone know of any studies where this has been specifically investigated?
