Info on using cold laser treatment????

I am new to this forum and this is my first post; am a long term sufferer of periodic episodes of prostatitis over 30+ years; a friend with different medical problems praises cold laser treatment and web searches have revealed some positive accounts of cold laser for prostatitis, but I cannot obtain reliable first hand accounts or locate any practitioner in my area (metro DC).

Where do you see positive accounts? Laser therapy for chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome has not been studied. The Russians and Ukrainians have some studies out on using laser for treating chronic bacterial prostatitis, with slightly positive results, but that's a different condition completely.

Surgery is almost always a bad idea for CPPS. No quick fixes, sorry.
