Howdy, I have being seeing Kathy Tisco who is located at Inwood and Lovers. She is well versed in internal pelvic muscle work and brought up the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol before I even mentioned it to her. She had assisted me using biofeedback, internal trigger point, and relaxation techniques. With her help I was feeling the best I've felt in a long time. Her phone # is 214-351-2299. I was referred to her by Brad Hornberger at UTSW so a prescription might be required. Good luck!!!

You made my day. Thanks for giving good referral. I will call her tomororw.
I have CIGNA HMO.. which is not widely accepted. If she is as good as you say, I won't mind paying out of packet which is better than going to CA for SP treatment.
I wrote to Dr.Wise (Author of headace in pelvis) about PT referrals in Dallas on Webslave's advice. but he did not have any.
thanks

Elniko;
I live in Fort Worth and I have been looking for a PT in the Dallas area too.
I live in Fort Worth and I have been looking for a PT in the Dallas area too.
Age: 62 | Onset Age:44 | Symptoms: Golf Ball feeling in rectum | Helped By: Valium(very little) | Worsened By: Coffee and sitting. Seen two PT'S, Kathy Tisko,Dallas TX & Kelli Cutshall, Fort Worth. The PT helped some, but not much. The PT in Fort Worth said I should see a PT that treats Pelvic floor problems only. Have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (Since age 44). Have some burning after urinating. Urologist said I did not have an infection of the prostate.Have some problems with BM's.WhenI do have a BM, I have to strain some to Pass the stool.Try to consume a lot of fiber, but sometimes the fiber causes gas and cramping.

Nick:
Finally I was able to get treatment from Kathy.
After seeing your response, I talked my urologist #1 asking referral for PT.
He did nto buy into it. Went to Urologist #2 and he was excited by that idea.
Finally got referral (Since I am on HMO) to see Brad at UT.
He gave me referral to see Kathy. But she was not on CIGNA contract
and my PCP helped me to get out of network coverage finally.
I had my first visit and I mentioned your first name and she rememebered it.
thanks for pointer. I did extensive research on PT with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome treatment expereince. I wll post for benefit of others

PT list in dallas
I probably called about 50 PT in DFW area to find who treat chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome for men and who covers my insurance.
Here is the list I came up with.
Perfect Match (in the order of my information)
I considered perfect match if they bio feedback, internal/ext trigger point treament, relaxation techniques and mayofascial release.
1) Kathy Tisco. 214-351-2299
175 for initial visit and 125$ for followup
Recommended by forum member. I saw Kathy for first time today.
in Dallas. http://www.parkcitiespt.com/
2) Teena Petree Summit Physcial Therapy. does BF, int/external TP 972-732-7797. 106$ for eval and 90$ for next appt.
treated both men and women. In Dallas
http://www.summitphysicaltherapy.com
3) Joan Firra. (214) 348-3516 150$ first visit and 120$
Does bio-feedback, internal and external TP
http://www.movementislife.net/aboutjoan.html
4) Vicki Keller Baylor Irving 972-579-8100
bio feedback, TP internal/external, relaxation technique and MFR
5) Kelly at Sante - Fortworth (817) 263-3041.
does bio-feedback, int/ext TP. www/santerehab.com
Not so perfect match (in my opinion) but following PTs also treat CPPS
6) Selena in Sante in Frisco 972-377-0735/ 214-547-1571
treats mostly women but treated 5 male in last 1 year
does bio feedback. never did Internal TP. http://www.santerehab.com
7) Eric Huffman Flower Mound 972-539-5795 http://www.jointsinmotion.com
does bio feedback, external TP. Never did Internal TP
Flowermound
8) Avari Garcia: work: 972-727-9995 extn: 2207 Plano or Allen area
9) Cindy (Cynthia Hall Ashby) at COre PT 972-359-8502 100$/75$. Mckinney. No Biofeedback.
After all the reseach, the best resource online is go to http://www.apta.org and enter zipcode etc and look for women health category. Most of PT who treat women health (incontinence, pelvic pain) also treat men. If not they definitely know who can treat better.
Most of the above people are in that list on apta.org web site.
good luck with your search.
