Anybody here ever messed around with those aneros sex toys? Do they relieve or exacerbate C.P.P.S.? Just curious.
Thanks.

I have one of these models and used it initially to relieve my symptoms when my prostate was very swollen.
However, I did not use it to perform a full prostate massage. I simply put a condom on it, used LOADS of lube and pushed it in, applied VERY LIGHT AND DELICATE pressure on sensitive areas of the prostate and then pulled it out. This process lasts roughly 10-15 seconds and gave me relief from a lot of my symptoms for a day or two. I still do this on and off, and find it helps with symptoms. Suffering from Ulcerative Colitis as well I am used to using foam enemas in the past so know that you must be very careful and apply a lot of lubrication and be delicate with this. I would not recommend this unless you have had a Digital Rectal Examination by your doc and you didn't have any adverse side affects. I put this past my General Doctor and he said it should be ok and my Urologist did not have a problem with it.
At this stage I wouldn't recommend a vigourous massage at all. I would not want it to cause a flare up.I AM NOT A DOCTOR.
As an aside this model is also marketed as a prostate health aid in the US.

Right. My understanding is that the thing was first developed to relieve prostatitis sufferers, or at least, people with prostate problems, but that it caught on as a sex toy.Gav wrote: As an aside this model is also marketed as a prostate health aid in the US.

Age: 29. Onset: 28 (June 2006). Pain in pelvis between scrotum and anus. Burning sensation in urethra. Sometimes urethra is inflamed. Quercetin helps a lot, as does heat.

They are called Pro State Prostate Massagers I believe by the place that markets them as the massagers rather than the sex toys.

I have one but the perineal tab bugs the heck out of me. I used it for trigger massage but the tab "got in the way". I then made a massager by filling a slim metal cigar tube with jbweld to make it solid. I used that for awhile but then I bought the prostate vibrator that "adam and eve" carries and haven't looked back. the vibration triggers all tissues in the area while you are releasing trigger points.
