Newbie needs help with stretches

Post by Brett »

Hi,
I am from Australia and had my first episode of CNBP when I was 20. I went down the old road of antibiotics etc for nearly 2 years. Then I got Naturopathic treatment and great treatment from a Chiropractor who did triggerpoint release and was 99% better after 6 months. Anyhow now I am 35 and in the depths of a relapse. WOW, the understanding of this syndrome has changed dramatically in 15 years.

WHAT I NEED HELP WITH is stretch number 8 in the 4th Ed. of HITP.....the quadratus lumborum and hip abductors stretch. Can some one maybe explain it another way? I don't understand "the hips are bent forming a "C". Any help would be greatly appreciated :-D

Thanks

First of all mate welcome to the forum. I must say that to go 15 years without a significent relapse is good progress in my mind. Also to get myofascial trigger point treatment so long ago for this condition is a nice surprise to hear. Especially down under & not in the US of A!

There are a few stretches I dont do in the AHIP simply because at the moment I dont feel like I need to as I concentrate on other muscle groups. I'm not sure about your specific question. I do find that a google search on the internet always helps me for this kind of condition though.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for your welcome. I'll try a google search and see what I find.
Cheers
