More good news!

Post by GP2 »

Some of you wil be aware that gluten elimination has helped me to a large extent. So, I went for my 5th PT session (2 months after my last) and...

Internal floor virtually TP free. Levator ani (which hurt like hell in every direction only 2 months ago) much better. My physio was sure I had been working on myself but in truth I haven't been doing much internal work at all!!

I'd be surprised if my extensive stretching routine has cleared the TPs but I do try to stretch well after TP sessions. Could the gluten diet have somehow positively altered the physiology of my muscles? It's certainly possible! Either way I'm pleased - I am going to do my own work on a tight psoas muscle as well as my adductors & once I've loosened up these muscles I will concentrate on core muscle strengthening.

I'm lucky that my PTs have cleared internally quite quickly but I also think that I have done the right things to help the process along. Suffice to say I am pleased with the continued progress!

Now its stretch, stretch, relax & stress less (with no gluten) from now on........

That's great news Greg.

You have inspired me to tighten up my diet like I did a few years ago for my Colitis. I am following a GF diet too and it has immediately helped a lot of my constipation issues (as it should do really!), which in turn is making a lot of anal pain around the prostate simply dissappear.

I hope things keep getting better mate.

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

Thanks

I'm by no means better though. Like most people it will take a long time. For example last 2 days - very sick, tired, constipated & worst pelvic flair in weeks. Turns out I was glutened twice unknowingly at the weekend!!

Correction I meant to say I am much better but by no means "cured" (whatever that is). I have work to do still but I feel like I have reached 2 milestones in 2007!
