So the pain in my back only seems to occur at night a couple of hours before I go to bed.
Throughout the day my back doesn't bother me at all. I can sit down, walk around, pick stuff up and run if I need to; all pain free as far as my back in concerned.
After a couple of hours of sleep lying down in bed, my muscles start to spasm and constrict around my abdominals which make it hard to breathe.
Thats the worst case scenario.
Most times I just feel back pain and spasm in the lower back.
Does this sound familiar?
Does it sound as though it is related to chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome or anxiety?

Back Pain
Age:37 | Onset Age: 35 | Symptoms: pain in testicles that comes and goes that also switches sides-trying to find a pattern as to "why" this happens/Rectal Burn at the 6 O'clock position at my anus which tends to flare around the periphery of my anus typically after defication but no perineum pain-no "golf ball" pain. Pain in testicles worsens as I sit but not always...Pain is not always present but depresses me. Pain used to be at a very high level but has subsided in time to a low level but has not gone away. Pain used to flare after sex but not as much as before although it still like playing russian roulette./
/Lack of SleepHelped By: I haven't found anything that has helped to my knowledge. Tried many many sessions of PT, accupuncture and chiropractic care but still have not found steady relief that takes me back to a pre CPPS state.

Let's get it straight: is it before or after you got to bed? After a couple of hours of sleep lying down in bed, my muscles start to spasm and constrict around my abdominals which make it hard to breathe
If after you go to bed: if you have an old or soft mattress, that could be causing your back to kink and pinch a nerve. It happened to me. Get a firmer, newer mattress (but not one of those ultrahard mattresses, which are darned uncomfortable).
If the pain is in your lower back, upper buttocks or down either of your legs, it's definitely your spinal nerves, IMO. I wouldn't think anxiety would strike at night while asleep, although the breathing difficulty could point to anxiety.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Sorry Mark,
The pain occurs AFTER I go to bed...
I'll usually hit the sack around 11PM and then I'll get up a couple our hours later and my lower back will be in pain. I don't feel shallow of breath rather my stomach muscles are in spasm and constrict when I breathe which makes it hard to take a deep breath. I know the difference between lack on O2 intake due to anxiety or not. At least I used to....
I'm seeing a chiropracter that tells me there are some problems down there.
I'll elaborate when I find out more...
