External trigger points to help urinary freq/ and urge

Post by carld »

Other than was was listed in A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS 3rd addition which I have, does any one know any other external areas that can be worked on to help with perineum irritation and urinary frequency?

Things have been going well the last few weeks, but over the weekend I had some BBQ sauce ( spice in it) and chocolate for the first time in 8 months and it seemed to not agree with me. Within a few hours, I felt my perineum flair up :x . Oh well, have to try and see what does and doesn't work. It looks like I will continue to stay away from spicy foods, alcohol and caffeine. I don't think those will ever be enjoyed again?? :( Can someone shed some light on this, because if our condition is a tension disorder, which creates a hostile environment for our organs in our pelvis, then why would food be an issue? I hope this does not sound dumb, because our conditions are a constellation of things and the seed is anxiety and stress. Any words of encouragement and wisdom would be great.

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

THese types of things can just make it worse if you have urinary type symptoms, because they already overuse an area thats already painful. At first I couldn't eat any spices/ caffeine/ etc, now I can eat a little more, chocolate, etc, that I'm getting better, When your more better, you can too.

Try to push down about 4 finger tips length below the belly button , pushing on this area for a minute can help the urge to urinate
