I caught a cold, and to my horror, discovered that I can no longer take sudafed or nyquil. I had a terrible chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome flare up that continues even as the cold subsides. Crap.
Anyway, can someone please tell me when the next chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome conference is? I am looking forward to reading new research results and what the experts are thinking now. I'm only 26 and have my fingers crossed that the miracle breakthrough will come before I turn 40.
In the meantime, I continue trying to relax, goto PT and just hope for the best.

There's an NIDDK summit on IC/PBS this October. The big names should be there.

The best way to keep abreast of what's going on, though, is to go to PubMed and do a search for relevant keywords (e.g. "chronic prostatitis"). You'll see the abstracts of the most recent studies there. There's some encouraging work on biomarkers and genetics being done now.
