Hello fellow sufferers of golfballitis and other weird and annoying symptoms:
I've just moved to Calgary and was hoping that someone can recommend a good uro here (i.e., a doctor who has experience with CP/CPPS, and doesn't just throw antibiotics and alpha blockers at the problem).
Thanks!

Uro in Calgary?
Age 40. Diagnosed with 'mild' CP in 2002. Had a nasty flare up in 2004 with many of the documented symptoms. Bought and used A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS, took Quercetin, with symptoms improving about 12 weeks later (though never completely gone). Another flare up eight weeks ago - worse than 2004. Stretching again, with Quercetin and Flomax. Need a good uro...

I am not sure if there is such a thing anywhere much less in Canada. Best to read and educate yourself. I imagine you will glean more in an hour on this board than a lifetime at a urologists office.
Age: 44 | Symptoms: Pain in pelvis, Post urination drip. Helped by: Squat stretching, PT, Prelief before banned foods, Vit B, Cystoprotec AFTER foods, singulair after foods, Exercise. Makes worse: Stress, Alcohol (1-2 days after), coffee, Artificial sweeteners, chocolate, tonic Wheat/gluten. Drink a lot of water!!! 95% better to date!

Uro in Calgary
I've followed this forum from time to time (usually when I have a flare up or when I have a free moment from my two year old). As I haven't visited in over a year, I can't remember my original username.
It's a great, informative forum - definitely helped me get past the depression, anxiety, tension etc when I felt initial symptoms.
The reason why I would like to see a good uro is to have my prostate examined annually (DRE), discuss any new symptoms (for example, my current flare up began with a stretched muscle feeling in the left groin area and up left side of abdomen), perhaps, have an occasional ultrasound to check for anything weird, and also - most importantly - to determine if the doctor would be willing to try out the trigger point work discussed in A HEADACHE IN THE PELVIS.
I do generally cope with CP; however, having the assistance of an enlightened medical professional could be beneficial to the elimination of this issue.
