I just got my first bottle of any accredited quercetin product this week.
I'm currently on Levaquin for a month, so due to the popular advise given on this board, I will wait another couple of weeks before starting the Quercetin.
My question though is what exactly it does to help, for those who it does. Does it help relax these tense muscles which seems to be the underlying problem? Or does it simply mask the pain?

Levaquin for a month?
Anything the levaquin does not kill in the first week is not likely a bacterial infection. Be VERY careful with this stuff, it can cause severe pain and joint problems which took me about 9 months to recover from. This is not a normal antibiotic. It was used historically for AIDS patients. Doctors prescribe it like candy. Read up on it in this forum ASAP.
On quercetin, it interrupts the cycle of mast cell histamine release and reduces inflammation. It is one of the few recognized viable treatments on this site with no side effects that I am aware of. It is not a cure all but certainly a helpful piece of the puzzle.
Not a Dr. not medical advice.

Agreed on the levaquin. Was on it for 8 weeks destroyed my GI, had horrible, and I mean horrible gas issues. Had to rebuild the natural flora, was not fun. Id give it 14 days, but if your cultures arent showing anything, this is a waste of time. But, we've all been there, and kept the hope it would help, but it didn't.

Yes, I know all the bad words about Levaquin around here and the antibiotics, but I've had this problem for a month, and it did begin with an infection in the urethra so I don't care to be on them, but I'll always wonder "what if" if I don't give it the full run. 16 days in, and although I don't think it's helping, it's a smooth ride compared to my 10 day doxycycline treatment which put me in a nervous breakdown and near suicide.
With that said, can we please keep this discussion on topic, Quercetin? Thanks.
