Questions

Post by Tomass »

I am writing for the first time hoping that somebody could help me in answering my questions.
Here is my story.
I have pain in penis and testicles already for 4 months. The pain appeared in a few hours(!) after I had had an unprotected sex.
Chlamydia and Trichomonas were found. I was prescribed Doxycyclin 200 mg daily and Metranidazole to take for 10 days. In some 10 days _after finishing_ antibiotic course the symptoms disappeared for a short time - approximately for less than a week. Later I was prescribed by uros 1 week treatment (too short?) with Lavafloxacin (one of the quinolones) and more later a week treatment with Roxithromycin. Almost no impact. I tried 21 day of Broccoli treatment + diet. No relief. The pain is still here.
Questions:
1. Is it likely that I have bacterial or non-bacterial prostatitis? Which one is more likely?
2. Is it common that P. symptoms appear in such a short time after intercourse?
3. Is it possible that the bacteria have already become resistant to antibiotics?
4. What next steps would you recommend me to take?

Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

Best wishes for all of you,
Tomas
