How much worse should Theracane make pain
I have read a few posts about this so I know it's normal for the Theracane to make the pain worse but it seems so tender in the area on the bones right below the penis to the left especially. Should I be putting the Theracane right on this spot? That's what I've been doing for about 4 or 5 days. I feel like I have a pretty high pain tolerance but this is pretty painful. I usually have just about no pain although I've had some spells and I have had Ulcerative Colitis for about 10 years which no doubt is related to this. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. I guess what I want to know is should I only be looking for tender spots on muscles or is pushing down on what feels like a bone ok? And how much pain the next day or during is ok? Thanks --Kevin

The 'hitting the bone' feeling is one I've had before and it's a tricky one - as I've had times when I thought I was hitting bone only to later find out that it was just muscle that felt like bone until it released.
Anyway, whenever I've hit a tender spot which seems to be on bone then I've usually stop that treatment for a few days to give the area time to recover.
As to increased pain levels the next day - this is very common but you have to be careful the increased level is down to treatment and not trauma caused by the treatment. No simple answer I'm afraid, but try to come off that spot for a few days and then see if it's as bad.
In general though I tend to be pretty gentle/careful when treating areas that seem to be right on bone and more aggressive when I can feel/sense some little movement which shows it's muscle/tendons.
Richard.

Yep. Having used the Theracane a LOT over the last 18 months, I agree with Richard. Go slow, and learn your body, and its response to your treatment. We all want to heal everything right away, but you can get into trouble doing this. Without professional guidance, you have to go slow. I always went slow, and picked up the pace as I saw how my body responded. Richard is right that you have to learn to distinguish between a flare-up caused by "good" pain, and one caused by "bad" pain (e.g. damage). This is tricky, and you have to learn it slowly, and not rush through things.
I'm still not exactly sure where you are pressing. On the pubic bone? In the perineum? Could you describe it again for me? Perhaps I am too dense tonight.

Thanks guys. I'll do my best to explain. It's in the perineum area, maybe a litte under it and it feels the same on the right or the left. My right side hurts a little but the left side is really hurting. I've backed off on the Theracane for a few days and it's the same if not worse. It seems that it may be running that is causing the pain.

Still not clear on the exact spot. Are you referring to the area just in front of the anus? Or just behind the testicles?in the perineum area, maybe a litte under it and it feels the same on the right or the left.
