The vacation cure

Post by Richie »

Many of you have experienced relief during vacations. My personal relief is from returning to Michigan where my friends and family are located as I now live in Florida. Usually my symptoms are non existant during the stay and only return when I am on the flight home.

Anyways, I notice if I trick my mind into thinking I am back in Michigan, relaxing in a comfortable flannel bed, the symptoms immediately and dramatically decline and muscles unclench. Obviously a psychological causitive issue for me, but it works. I plan on spinning this tactic into meditation and stretching routines so I can work with a relaxed rather than taught set of muscles. Give it a try.

I hope this works for you too.

Right on about good vacations !!

My wife and I went to Jamaica last summer and in one week I felt like my body and mind made tremendous gains in healing.

I still try to keep that Jamaican attitude of relaxing and taking it easy. The Jamaican guys told me that they see many very uptight americans and they say that causes people to get sick -- I have to say these guys are very wise in this respect.

Ever since I got back from Jamaica I listen to Bob Marley in the car when I drive and I rarely ever feel any stress when driving anymore.
