Visible changes in urethra.

hi guys! hope everyone is having a flare-free day.

My question is -- has anyone noticed a puffiness or swelling in their urethra since CPPS/prostatitis? My urethra is red at the tip, and swollen also. my uro explains that "everything looks normal" but I feel that it is not.

I don't quite know if I have a conditiom yet, but here's what I have:

just redness sometimes, and dry skin. Kind of a slight brownish discoloration on the bottom but I'm not sure if that's been there.

A lot of people have it. Most probably it is a vascular-related phenomenon as well as something commonly found in neuropathic pain. Does not correlate with prognosis.

see thats the thing though -- I never EVER had any puffiness, swelling, etc. then 3 years ago I wake up -- my urethra was swollen as hell, and here I am now -- still swollen, red, etc.

just trying to figure out if anyone else is experiencing the same thing here. my urethra is definity not the same since having this wonderful disease. unbelievable!

I've had this too (now subsided). I compare it to something like optic nerve papilloedema in its mechanical aspect, where slightly inflammation/swelling in a structure or its surroundings causes enlargement and lengthening, and in the case of both the optic nerve (increased intracranial pressure) and the urethra (pelvic inflammation), slight protuberance at the foramen.

This has been my most vexing issue of Prostatitis. My uro also said he saw no visible signs of redness or swelling. What a crock of crap that was. I have not had normal coloring at the tip of my penis for about a yr. I have also noticed that the opening at the tip of my penis seems to have shrunk 1/8 of an inch. Does that sound anything remotely close to your symptoms??

I am contantly sensitive and red at the tip of the penis which makes it difficult for me to exercise and not think about this problem. 7 weeks ago I have started Algonot plus, prost-Q, calcium magnesium, and local prostate formula. The redness has not cleared yet.

Keep your head up. Its a long-term battle.

holy crap man - this is the LONGEST battle I'll ever be in. I'm in mid flare right now and my urethra is burning up like no other. I ate something I shouldnt have.

My urethra is red and swollen. plain and simple -- every dr. i've been to has told me that everything is normal.

And thats not the case.

You just know. period.

I absolulely agree with you,since having these symptoms I have noticed having a swollen urethra,which looks red and sore and the foreskin around it just doesn' t look right.Also,when going to the toilet,after voiding I get leakage from my urethra.A dribble which I never used to have.Another thing which I have noticed is that when ejaculating the last bit hangs out the end,and every time I wipe it a bit more appears in the same way like a bubble.Weird!
