Ok I have kinda touched on this once but over the last few months I have noticed a distinct pattern. My issues are only pain - no 'urological' issues thankfully. I have noticed though that when I'm having a bad pain day, I can allmost tell how the day is going to be after the first 10 minutes at work, by mid afternoon my urine 'smells' and smells kinda sweet. Sweet as in a sugary smell and not smells good!
Can enyone explain what this may be as I can hypothesise that this may be an indicator of imflammation however what is it in the imflamatory process that could cause this?
thanks

last time was when I signed up at my current GP so perhaps 4 years ago - I thought of this also but thought it was nto really relevent as I only get this odd smell when my pain is high - It seems to be connected to inflammation in some way -
maybe I should be checked out again though....

It might be a good idea to be tested again. Sweet-smelling urine can be due to glucose and/or ketones in the urine which is an indicator of diabetes.chewymix wrote:maybe I should be checked out again though....
I'm not sure why inflammation of the urogenital tract would cause sweet-smelling urine, but if you or anyone else has a hypothesis, I'd be interested to hear it.
