Mast-Cell Stabilizing Drugs

Post by Richie »

Mast-Cell Stabilizing Drugs act by stabilizing the mast cells which release histamine, thereby preventing allergy symptoms. In the form of nasal sprays, mast-cell stabilizing drugs are intended for long-term preventative use and may require several weeks to be effective.
Example: Nasalcrom (cromolyn sodium)
Can anyone explain the effects of this drug. My search did not indicate much. Does it work?

It prevents mast cells from degranulating. It works quite well as a spray for hay fever and things like that, but when I experimented in 1997 by ingesting it in liquid form, it actually seemed to make my abdominal symptoms worse.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
