I had a pretty good day yesterday with my pain and urinary symptoms. But Last night I did about a hour and a half of exercises straight which was the AHIP streatchs, walked for 15 min, and did some pallets exercises with the use of the pallets ball. After I did the exercises and felt pretty good after I was done I had a few mixed drinks and I had a uncomfortable feeling in my perineum on the right and left side pretty much were the perineum connects with the leg and a uncomfortable feeling running down the inner part of my leg to my knees I have been told this is the adductor muscle any idea why the two of these activities together would have caused pain or was it just one of the activities any comments anybody? I did not have any real pain in the middle of the perineum or did not have any pain in the penis at all in fact penile pain felt really good and did not really have any bad urinary symptoms with the drinks as well just the pain I talked about earlier not serve pain just uncomfortable.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GOOD?
A weird feeling last night any comments ?

i also have discomfort in the areas you mention...not quite the perineum, but where it meets the leg/ass muscles. It's very rarely a serious pain, but more of a dull aching that you're constantly aware of. If I lie down for awhile or sit on nicer chairs where you're bum is almost below your legs, this usually disappears. On harder chairs at school/work and my computer chair (which I bought from Walmart, it feels a whole lot worse.
i also noticed when I press on these areas for a minute or so, it hurts like bloody hell...almost like a knifing sensation. The nerves must be knotted or something...because it's the area I sit on.
i just do stretches for now because it hasn't been so bad lately.

Age:23 | Onset Age:22 | Symptoms:Urinary hesitancy, moderate frequency, urgency and retention, slight perinneum, rectal and leg pain, frequent abdominal/bladder pain. Red/white spotty irritation on penis | Helped By:hot baths or showers, walking and moving around, pain medications | Worsened By: sitting for a long time, holding urine too long. I'd say I'm about 75% better naturally so far.

Depending on where you are pushing, the sensation may be cause by tight bands of muscle tissue, or pressure on a nerve. Check out this site for muscle/nerve diagrams.Dj Smitty wrote: The nerves must be knotted or something...because it's the area I sit on.
This is not medical advice, and I am NOT a doctor of medicine or a related field.
* Age:33 Onset: February 2004.
* 99.9% IMPROVEMENT in 2.5 Years with the first year being the really hard part
* Current Symptoms: Mild irritation of perineal muscles on occasion. Relieved for days at a time by a specific stretch (see below).
* Initial Symptoms: Terrible penile, urethral, rectal, and perineal burning/aching with addition afferent sensations.
* Current Treatments: Deep stretching of the legs and pelvis. Most effective: Deep psoas and levitar ani stretch using the first phase of the "pigeon pose" from Yoga. When a deep pulling is felt in the middle of the pelvis next to the upper rectum, symptoms are completely alleviated for several days.
* Past Treatments Hyperprotection of the perineum for 1.7 years, Walking, Rectal biofeedback, Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol, Conditioned deep relaxation practice, Men's Multi-Vitamin and an Extra B-complex pill, all seemed to help.

it doesn't feel like the muscles are tight...although naturally during an erection, the whole perineum area becomes very rigid to suppport the penis I guess.
but my main pain areas aren't the perineum but where I said...and I don't feel any tightness. There are little lumps I can feel but I'm sure that's natural. It's very hard to explain and I may just have to take off my pants and show my doctor exactly where it really hurts to press so he knows the deal.
