Uroxatral Experiences

Post by HuckFinn »

Has anybody out there tried uroxatral? If so, I've got some questions for you.

How's it helped with the urination?

Any side effects?

Also, my understanding is that uroxatral doesn't lower blood pressure the way some other alpha blockers do. Is that correct? And if so, can it be taken with Viagra?

Thanks.

I was told that it does lower your blood pressure. I tried it for a while. It seems to take a few days to have positive effects. I found that I felt awful (in the pelvis) the first week of taking it. But give it a chance. Also, you do get some retrograde ejaculation, even though it's supposed to be less than other a-blockers. I don't know about mixing it with viagra. That's something that you should speak to your doctor about in any case.

Xatral definitely helped my urine flow at a time when it was very weak. But did little for my pain.

I recently switched from Cardura which I took for about 13 months to Uroxatral. I have noticed no difference in the two. Uroxatral has not caused any retro ejaculation and really I haven't noticed one difference in side effects or positive effects. Somedays I pee like a little boy...mostly late in the day...in the morning I usually have some flow problems but nothing painful. Give it a try, just do it on the weekend cause the first few days of any alpha clocker can be intense due to the drop in bood pressure. Although Uroxatral will be easier to get used to than Cardura or Hytrin.
