I read the abstract recently posted under news and updates about the autoimmune study. Has anybody seen or heard of any lines of treatment to come out of this approach? Did that particular study put forward any thoughts on treating this disease from an auto immune approach? Would that look different from the Standford approach?
I have a history of autoimmune diseases in my family (Lupus, Celiac Disease), and this line of inquiry has me curious.

This theory was being tested at the University of Maryland in a clinical study of Enbrel, a new anti-arthritis drug that works by "capturing" the excess cytokines believed to cause runaway inflammation." Email Richard Alexander, M.D., [email protected] a urologist with the University of Maryland medical center, who headed up this study.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

I e-mail Dr Richard Alexander and he replied
I was disappointed as my sister uses Enbrel for arthritis and it has been working for her. But the price here in Canada it work out to $1300 a month so it's out of my league anyhow.Dr Richard Alexander wrote:The drug was not effective in treating patients with CP/CPPS in my trial. -ra
