I can't find any trigger points
I've read the Trigger Point Work Book and the 3rd edition of A Headache in the Pelvis and they've both been a great help to some extent, only... I can't actually find any of my own trigger points. Maybe I only have some very deep internal ones, which are going to be impossible to treat anyway given that the closest PT is in Scotland. Is it worth doing the stretches and massages if I don't have any trigger points?

I certainly think you should do the stretches and relaxtion. Even if you can`t find TPs, the stretching and relaxation is good for the muscles and blood flow. Not to mention the overall "balance" in your body..

I had many many sessions where my physio could always find triggerpoints in one particular area and I could never find them myself when self-treating. I kept thinking that they must have gone, only to go to the physio the next day and he'd find them straight away.
I'd highly recommend paying Bill a visit in Edinburgh, at least once you've been assessed you'll know for sure whether you've just missed them or not. Until you do, you'll never really know and can't strike it off the list.
I agree with Viking - definately do the stretches and relaxation - both are good for your regardless of triggerpoints.

Anything is worth trying.Gabriel wrote:I'm considering going up to see Bill, it's just not very practical for me. I actually spoke to him on the phone recently and he suggested some guided phone consulations, so I may give that a go next.
