Small progress, maybe?

Post by Pelican »

My pain is now really bad but for some reason my erection has come back!! The feeling of the genital disconnection from the rest of my body is almost gone!! It still takes a while but its much better.
About two weeks ago I took cialis a few times and since then its gotten way better. I've done stretches about 20-30 mins almost every day. I dont know if its because of cialis or stretching, could this be a progress although my pain is at its peak?
Age:25 Onset age:20 | Symptoms: Bladder/rectum pain, heartburn, sexual dysfunction, urethra and perineum pain, IBS, chronic fatigue. Makes worse: bad diet, poor sleep, alcohol. Makes better: positive thinking, good diet, drinking lots of water, internal/exernal stretching

Strange! In my case, I began suffering from ED during a severe flare-up of my condition, and over time, as my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms improved, so did my ED, until the ED went away completely.

As I've mentioned in many posts, not all chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms are painful. There are LOTS of things covered under the general subject of "pelvic myoneuropathy", and some of the are painful, and others are just downright irritating. For example, weakened urine streams and weakened erections aren't painful, but a burning urethra and pain in the testicles are. Both are covered here, and they could ALL be caused by tension in the pelvic muscles and/or trigger points. Therefore, any stretching you do could help any one of these causes. Perhaps, in your case, you've started to improve blood flow, if only slightly, while your "painful" symptoms haven't yet responded or been altered. Almost any stretching you do (if you are doing pelvic floor stretches) is helpful to CPPS; but in what way depends on the individual and where his trouble spots are.

My advice is to look at is as a success, small or otherwise! In the early going, that's all you get. Keep at it and hopefully all the other symptoms will start to change as well.

From my point of view I would attribute the improvement on the sexual deparment to the Cialis,as one doctor told me once..."In cases of ED in young people I prescribe Cialis as a long term treatment,in such a manner it helps improving the bloodstream and has
highly beneficial effects on blood vessels of all gential area, allowing easyly blood to flow in the corpus cavernosum."

Yes but cialis only lasts for maximum 36 hours and the last time I took it was a couple of weeks ago. Maybe it was all in my head and worrying about ED actually was the cause or the stretching has increased the bloodflow. Either way I hope it will last!

I hope so too, but be realistic. If your improvement is due to Cialis, then it might last (as long as you keep taking it). If it is due to some of the stretching you are doing, it will probably follow the ebb and flow cycle of all chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome recoveries. Flare-ups will continue to happen, probably for a long time, but hopefully get better over time and shorter in duration.
