Why does urination activate my pain???
There is still a fundamental element of my illness that no doctor has been able to explain to me. Why is it that only urination and ejaculation activates my pain? When I wake up in the moring I feel fine. And typically in between urinations I have minimal pain. But the moment I urinate or ejaculate my pelvic floor is sent into spasm causing pain from the tip of my penis to my rectum. Can someone help me understand what it is about urinating that starts the pain? I have had a scope and every other urology test and nothing can be found structurally wrong. Now that I am off the daily Xanax, and ultram has stopped working as well, I am in really bad pain daily and it is ruining my life. Help!

That's easy. When you use the affected muscles, as you do in both urination and especially ejaculation, it gooses the condition. That leads directly to symptoms.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Thanks for the quick reply. The most frustrating aspect of this illness is not having one doctor who knows anything about CPPS. I learn more here than from all my various doctors put together. It's difficult not having one physican in your corner, trying to help you get better. It's a very isolating illness.
