ups n downs go figure..

Post by wegonemakeit »

i am feeling great for the last week. I have been having sex almost everyday no pain before during or after(mild orgasm with urgency to pee)but no pain no back pain no ball pain no urethral discomfort I do have a mild urgency to pee but only during orgasm and in the morning when I first wake up. its funny cause last week I was feeling like shit and at the end of my rope. (i had chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome for 2 years I'm a 23 m.) I started tacking prosta protek last week when I was feeling horrable and within 2 days my symptoms lifted I also have been drinking a lot of lemonade (pink).. lol dont know if that means much. another thing that has me puzzeled is my old high school buddy came over this week end and we got drunk as hell .and I had no flare up from the alchole. I have not been drinking for years cause I was under the impression it caused flar ups. I drank vodka and oj. any ideas?

Triple-distilled vodka doesn't contain a lot of the "stuff" that beer, wine, etc., does that is likely to cause a flare-up. I'm beginning to suspect, based on a copious amount of anecdotal evidence (years of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferers' internet posts), that alcohol in moderation helps alleviate the pain and is not a trigger in the majority of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome cases. If drinking in moderation makes a person less anxious, it is reasonable to suspect that the buzzed person is less likely to be clenching his pelvic muscles. The typical uro's statement that all chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients must cease alcohol consumption immediately is clearly not true.

I agree on the effects. Normally the trouble starts a day or two after the bender for me. Basically paying for Saturday night fun on Monday.

However, in small quantities, potato distilled vokda or tequila seems to offer relief if taken one or two each evening.

I don't recommend this but it seems to help me.

I still cannot drink beer, wine or coffee without relatively sudden adverse reactions.

Not a Dr. Not medical advise.
