Second Cysto found two urethral strictures

Post by VBBronco »

I really refused a second cysto becuse they seem to be useless with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome but my new uro who has taken an interest in me wanted to cross out possible IC. He found 2 strictures the first uro did not and a lot of pus in my bladder prostate area. I am wondering if these strictures were csaueing my testicle pain, split stream and CPPS. I am praying thtat they were the cause. DOes dilation have to be done over and over. WHo think striuctures can cause CPPS? I have read a lot that they can cause prostatitis because of the reflux of urine. I am now taking levaquin for 1 month and getting regular prostate massage. hopefuolly my problem will clear

One uro seeing no strictures and the next seeing two sounds a bit odd to me. :pensativo:

And when he says "pus" does he mean white blood cells or frank exuding pus? If the latter, it's most unusual and denotes a true bacterial infection, I would have thought.

Who is your new uro, by the way?

Dr. Davaid lustig in Virginia Beach, he is thinking about quiting surgery and just treating us and IC. He sees pus!!! And he did a rigid cysto lasting about ten minutes and the first uro did a flexible that lasted like two minutes and the first time I was in so much pain he probably had trouble with me doing a correct a job. Also the first uro did not even want do to this cysto but I begged him and the second uro wanted to and I wouldn't do it for weeks until he convinced me, he said I had 2 srtitures and one was so bad he couldn't pass the scope passed it. I think I had a stricture that cause ed an infection? What do you htin webslave? I might really have some infection?

Strictures certainly can cause CPPS-like problems. Let's see how you are doing a month or two from now, and we can discuss it then.

I'm very interested in seeing if this clears it up, please keep us updated!
Age 21.. | Symptoms: Extreme discomfort in bladder, and lower abdomen.. To the point that I can't sit still, and sleep, can't do anything.. The only that will help is getting into the bath... Urinary frequency, Urinary hesitancy, sometimes taking a few minutes to get just a little bit out.. Sometimes lower back pain when I lay down at night.. Never have the golf ball feeling everybody talks about, and never have a problem sitting down.. Helps: Hot baths, Xanax (but makes me extremely tired), stretching (it seems like only sometimes), pain killers (ex: Percocet, but if I take them, they end up making me worse the next days following, probably due to the urinary retention they cause).. Makes worse: Stress is the main main thing, caffeine and spicy foods too, but not really a whole whole lot.. only a moderate amount..

Something smells awfully fishy about this. I'm beginning to distrust all uros, the "plumbers" of the medical/surgical world.

Well, keep us informed VB, and we will keep our fingers crossed for you.

This is not medical advice, and I am NOT a doctor of medicine or a related field.
* Age:33 Onset: February 2004.
* 99.9% IMPROVEMENT in 2.5 Years with the first year being the really hard part
* Current Symptoms: Mild irritation of perineal muscles on occasion. Relieved for days at a time by a specific stretch (see below).
* Initial Symptoms: Terrible penile, urethral, rectal, and perineal burning/aching with addition afferent sensations.
* Current Treatments: Deep stretching of the legs and pelvis. Most effective: Deep psoas and levitar ani stretch using the first phase of the "pigeon pose" from Yoga. When a deep pulling is felt in the middle of the pelvis next to the upper rectum, symptoms are completely alleviated for several days.
* Past Treatments Hyperprotection of the perineum for 1.7 years, Walking, Rectal biofeedback, Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol, Conditioned deep relaxation practice, Men's Multi-Vitamin and an Extra B-complex pill, all seemed to help.
