Constant Urination after the scope!
I have had chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome for six months and finally, one month ago, I gave in and had the dreaded cytroscopy. I hurt like hell but at least it showed that there was nothing structurally wrong with me. But here's the BIG PROBLEM. Since the day of the procedure, I have had very bad frequency problems, meaning, I wake up in the moring and feel like I have to go all day (I sleep well through the night for some reason). Though my post-pee pain is slightly less than it was a month ago, this constant having to pee all day is driving me crazy. Has anyone suffered a similiar fate since being scoped? Is there any medication that will help me urinate less often throughout the day? HELP!

I reduce my fluid intake to decrease urinary frequency. Of course, one does not want to become dehydrated or have such concentrated urine that it irritates his bladder and urethra, thus worsening the dysuria. Cut down on or eliminate coffee, alcohol, and other urinary tract irritants. Consider taking ibuprofen, and ask your doctor about the possibility of trying hydroxyzine or a benzodiazepine. If the painful urination becomes unbearable, ask your physician about tramadol. I suspect the inflammation from the trauma caused by the invasive procedure which is likely causing your symptoms will continue to decrease over time.

Did your Uro give you an antibiotic after the cystoscopy? I'm hoping you didn't get an infection from it (I had a cysto myself and it hurt for 2 days after, but a month sounds a bit long).
If there is no infection and a regular painkiller (Aleve (naproxen), etc) doesn't work, you might want to see if you can get a script for Urised for the burn. You'll pee bluish green, but it takes out the burn for the most part and does a few other beneficial things.
