Putting on weight/size safely?

Post by GARYS »

I was wondering if there is a safe way to kind of bulk up and put some weight on. I dont plan on working out (I kind of work out all day with the kind of labor I do). I used to be a descent size guy, but over the years & years of suffering I have gotten pretty skinny and everyone is asking what happened. I just tell them that all I do is work. Is there a sfae way to put on some weight/ muscle that won't affect this problem? Someone told me to start taking in a lot of protien, would thos drinks have any negative affects? I also started my any accredited quercetin product today,( reccomended by Mark) hope it helps. I have read where some of the others have had some flares when starting these types of supplements. Is that very common, and do you just work past it? I have only had one pill so of course nothing has happened so far.
Thanks
Gary

I can work out

Post by Jack »

Hi,

I can only speak from my own experience and I work out at the gym three times a week w/o any flare-ups. (I always stretch for 15 mins after each training session, which I think is very important.)

Cheers,

Jack

Thanks for the response! I am more interested in putting on weight (in a good way), not really working out. I was 200+ lbs and now its around 170. I was wondering if I could do something like drink a lot of protien or something of that nature with out affecting this problem.
Thanks.

CPPS centers around irritable muscles and inflamed trigger points (for most of us). Whether you can work out without experiencing flare-ups is going to be unique to your situation. I think working out is fine, provided that you do so with consideration to your own specific circumstances. Stretching is good anyway, so that is certainly worth doing. But if you strain a muscle that is sensitive due to trigger points or too much tension, you'll cause a flare up. So take care to work the muscles that are ready to be worked, and avoid hurting the ones that still need to heal and build strength more naturally. No one here can offer you exact advice, since no one knows your body better than you. Moderation is probably the key. And pay attention to your body during your workouts. If you have bad flare ups, you are pushing some of your muscles too far.
This is NOT medical advice. I am NOT a doctor.
