I finally had the scope put up me last week and though it answered a few nagging questions (everything was clear), I am still sore from the procedure. Even stranger, a problem I used to have with urinary frequency has returned! I'm curious if other people have found it takes a while to fully recover from the scope and if they found they had to urinate more after having it done.
Also, they gave me some pills that turn your urine blue that are meant to help with the pain after the procedure and I think they've made the post-pee chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sting a little better. Has anyone else taken these pills (Urised) for their stinging pain?
Post-Cystoscopy and I'm sore!

had the scope
I had the flexible scope that the doc looks into the end rather than a camera. It was extremely painful when he had to push through my tight prostate. It felt like urinating razor blades for the first day after the scope and dull razor blades, lol, for the second and third day. An experience I'll never go through again to say the least. If I remember correctly it took a week or more to totally heal.
I find it amazing that some guys don't feel any pain from this procedure during or after. I guess I'm not one of those lucky guys either.
Well I hope this helps give you confidence that you may still need time to heal. I wouldn't hesitate calling your uro though. He or his nurse should certainly be able to answer any of your questions. Well I guess I should not have said "any of your questions" or we wouldn't all be on this site, lol.
BTW-not medical advice, just speaking from my experience.

I had a cysto done and it took 3 days to get back to feeling totally normal down there. The doc should have given you an antibiotic to prevent infection from the procedure. I personally took 500mg quercetin 2x/day to get rid of inflammation.
Not medical advice, just my own experience.

post cystoscopy pain lasted for weeks
When I had my last cystoscopy in October 2002 my pain lasted for at least one month. The test also revealed nothing useful. Anyone who undergoes this wasteful procedure with our set of symptoms is consenting to abuse. I consented to it only in a climate of desperation as this was still six months before the release of AHIP. With the knowledge from that book I have so improved that I cannot see how a man today would need the cystoscopy procedure. If the pain and irritation is muscle related then a cystoscopy can only make things worse.

Personal Thought...
Don't do it, unless absolutely necessary. My first one was extremely uncomfortable. I suspect the second one to this day was the start of all my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome problems.
Dec-2000: Ecoli bacteria infection/ first cystoscopy
Jan-2001: Urethra infection with bleeding/ second cystoscopy
Apr-2001: Prostate enlargement
Jun-2001: Urethra heals and bleeding stops/ pelvic floor muscle pain starts
Nov-2002: Medical separation from Air Force/ VA care begins
