I have been experiencing for a while with massaging different parts of the lower body. On Tuesday morning I did some internal massage in the rectum while in the shower. A couple of inches inside, I pressed on what I believe is a muscle which felt like a tight rubber band. I have felt this muscle before, but it felt really hard this time. When I press on it, the penis shrinks and I can sometimes feel sort of a stinging freezing pain at the tip of the penis and sometimes even through my legs and feet. Anyway, I felt really good throughout the rest of that day.
This morning I tried pressing on the same muscle inside the rectum and I noticed that it was not that hard. When I got to work and throughout the day, I have not felt good at all. I have had a burning type pain in the penis all day.
On a couple of other occasions, I have also managed to press on points that have given temporarily (for a day) great relief. This has been when I have pressed around on the stomach though.
Has anyone else experienced this ? Does it sound like a typical trigger point situation in the pelvic and even ab muscles.
Great to hear your thoughts !
Thanks

I have the exact same problem. It's running from side to side and feels like a bone. It takes about 10 minutes of pressure before it begins to loosen up. The real trigger points seems to be under this muscle.A couple of inches inside, I pressed on what I believe is a muscle which felt like a tight rubber band. The burning pain you feel the day after a succesful massage is a GOOD sign. The flareup proves that you hit the spot! Don't let the pain make you stop!

I will definately keep working on this muscle. When I have pressed it, I have only done so for about half a minute or even less than that. Yesterday evening though, when I had the burning pain all day, I decided to massage it for longer. Perhaps 2 minutes. After that the pain significantly decreased and the tension let go. It was a great feeling.
A couple of questions: How often should you do this massaging ? Also, are there any dangers involved in doing the self internal massage. Can you damage for instance the prostate ? I don`t think I have felt the prostate though.
