In my efforts to come up with a solution to the muscle problem, my PT and I tried a 10 minute electronic muscle stimulation (10 seconds on, 50 seconds off, 10 times) on my left lower pelvis. In essense, artificially creating musle clenching. This was after my regular weekly trigger point therapy to that whole lower area. So, I was feeling pretty good.
The theory was that like the one clenching pelvic exercise in AHIP (Pelvic tilt #4), this would stimulate the area, perhaps, back to a normal state.
Well, it did not work. In fact, I actually created the condition/flare up on the stimulated side of my body only! It basically lasted for the full week until my next PT session where that area was again reduced to relative normalcy via trigger point work.
It was extremely unusual to feel during the week one side being typical flareup and one side being normal. But the valuable observation I had was that I now had actually CREATED the condition on one side and was convinced as to its cause. For me this was a relief in knowing.
PS, I do not recommend anyone try this and note it here so you can learn from my mistakes and observations.
