urgent information

Post by jj77 »

Hello everybody, I am new to this forum and I'll post my story sooner or later. I'm actually in bad pain and I'd like to know some information.

I'm actually experiencing a bad burning sensation in the penis/urethra zone, after days of other chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms like "golf ball" and a more internal, softer burning pain. Do you think it's a prostatitis symptom or there can be something more in it? To be more precise, I'm quite freaked by ciproxin side effects I've read on a page in the web.

Do you know something about it? Thanks.
Age: 28* | Onset Age: 24, with mild symptoms* | Symptoms: penis and bladder burning, anus and rectum burning* | Helped By: B12 supplementation* | Worsened By: got worse after antibiotics cycles

While you have common symptoms of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (burning in urethra and golf ball feeling in rectum), your symtpoms could also be indicative of many other conditions that you NEED to rule out before settling on the diagnosis of CPPS. It's important that you rule out these serious things because you don't want to miss them. You need to get labs done to rule out things like infection and cancer and STD's. It's for this reason that we make a general guideline on this board that anyone who has had the condition for less than 6 months is not yet a chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferer.

Not that you can't look for answers and theories now on this forum, but you can't ignore symptoms. If you've been to the doctor, it would be helpful to know. Posting your story is important before anyone here really takes a stab at helping you out.

No one can say your condition is prostatitis, or chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome involving pelvic muscle myoneruopathy (trigger points in the muscles). I WILL say that any of your symptoms could be caused by tension and trigger points in your muscles from your abdomen, to lower back, to rectum, but I won't ever say that this is definitely you problem (especially with the lack of info you have provided). The reason muscles get in the condition to cause pain could be from chronic tension, anxiety, too much sitting, stress from excercise, marathon bouts of sexual activity, etc... This causes shortness of the muscle fibers, trigger points, and eventually referred pain all over the pelvic region.

So that tells you the theories behind chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome as it relates to pain from muscles. If you have more to add about your history, how the pain started, why you think it started, the types of pain you've had, intensities, length of time, experiences with doctors, please put it in your next post.
