Why might this help in chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients? The guy in question said apart from the sitting pain, which did reduce, most of the other aches and pains went away?

Piriton is chlorpheniramine, other brand names are Aller-Chlor; Chlo-Amine; Chlor-Pro; Chlor-Trimeton; Phenetron; Sinutab Sinus Allergy; Telachlor; Teldrin.
It is a H1 antihistamine, like Vistaril (Atarax).
