One uro told me to avoid red meat, carbonated beverages and spicey foods can find lots of info about not eating carbonated stuff and spicey stuff but not red meat.
Is it well known that if you have prostatitis you should avoid eating red meat or is this an old wifes tale?

Unless you have a beef allergy/sensitivity (and some do), there is no reason to avoid meat.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Hmmmh..
I have long noticed that when you eat a lot of red meat, your urine gets darker (more urea) Can high urea concentrations irritate the bladder? If so then there might be some truth to the idea, although only if you are eating significant amounts of red meat. I agree that in moderation there is no problem.

Nice to know
Quite annoyed thou when I first got really bad, was told to stop red meat, chocolate, carbonated stuff, spicey foods which is a lot to do all of a sudden, as with taking copious amounts of antibiotics did everything the uro said, and got no were.
Its quite funny I use to love my coke and sprite, now if I hate the stuff after being of it so long.
