Itching, tingling, sharp needle-like pains

Post by GreyGoose »

I have been going through all kinds of wierd and unexplained phases and changes ever since I finished the last of the Cipro, Cipro XR and Levaquin. For about a week now and for no apparent reason, I have had intense burning-type itching around my scrotum and thighs. I do have bladder control issues so maybe it's a rash or even jock itch or maybe even the nerve-jarring effects of the Levaquin?. I also get these sharp pains in my chest, arms, legs and neck for some reason and my bowels always seem to be screwed up (gas, diarrhea, soft stools, etc). I also find myself forgetting things or having to pause for a few seconds in between words to think of what comes next and I feel a little "slow-minded" although this seems to be getting better. I'm also having issues with pin-prick sensations and tingling on my scalp. On and on it goes. Gosh, I've never been the perfect picture of health but I sure don't rememeber it being like this BEFORE I went on the Levaquin.

Please talk to me somebody before I go insane!! :sad2:

I have taken Levaquin with no side-effects but I have read many posts where people have reported some fairly serious side-effects (that of course may or may not be caused by this drug.) I would definitely let your doctor know about these symptoms. It probably goes without saying but Levaquin is powerful medication. I wish you luck in finding some relief.

Now please stay off them if you can! How long were you on each of those drugs?
