This post will address my struggle, my problem and my status, and my thoughts. I will keep this as focused and as concise as I can.
The Initial Era
In early december of 2003 I had several occasions of "warm urination", not to be confused with "burning on urination". I saw my long term PCP, and we did some urine tests, analysis and culture, which turned out NEGATIVE.
I had a sexual encounter on New Years eve which I noticed lots of clear fluid produced. An enormous amount. Prior to December 2003, I abstained from ejaculation for 1 month.
In Jan 2004, soon after new years I had an IVP done, which showed a light extrinsic force upon the bladder from my prostate. Diagnosis, Prostatitis. (Comment: probably buildup of prostate fluid) Days after I noticed I had a clear discharge of a drop or two of what seems to be prostate fluid after urination.
The Google Groups Era
I was terrified of the symptom. PCP sent me to Uro #1 (tests will be documented below). He did some tests and gave me 2 weeks of Doxycycline. Sometime after that I stumbled across the Google Groups. Boy, did that mess me up. I thought I had every unknown disease NOT known to man after read posts by Dr. Feliciano (sp?). That through me into a downward spiral of depression and anxiety. I spent now what is probably 10 months thinking I had something wrong with me, because of this old newsgroup, with pre-historic data amounting to nothing.
Although I was banned, probably for good reasons. I was still stressed so I saw Uro #2, who said prostate was fine, its normal to see some clear fluid after urination or bowel movement, its just excess fluid released by the prostate. Or the prostate exercised by the surrounding muscles. I knew this was logical, but because of the Google Groups, I thought some of these Doctors didn't know what they were talking about, only Feliciano did, go figure.
I saw Uro#3, who said prostate was fine.
Obsessive Era
Still, the symptom persisted. Still worried, saw Uro #4, an expert in the field of Prostatitis. He said prostate was perfect and that Prostatitis is associated with pain. He said I just produce a lot of fluid, he did say that a lot of ppl do, they just dont talk about this stuff.
Somewhere in between this time I took 7 days of Cipro, that I probably didn't need.
Saw Uro #5, didn't tell me anything I didn't know, except that if I kept my bad habit of trying to pee as fast as I can I can inflame the lower part of bladder and upper part of prostate. Gave me Macrobid- 2 weeks.
Saw Uro #6, this is where things got a little better. After I explained my symptom to him, he said it was normal. He said he sees many guys who have this symptom. He said its common, and they just produce a lot thats all. He explained that if my prostate was inflamed or infected, I would have pain. He challenged me to ask 100 ppl to pay attention to the last drop that comes after urination or urination after a bowel movement, and he said a lot off ppl will see some clear fluid and that it was normal physiology. Well, I did 1 better, and did a search on the internet. Results are below.

My Comments
Well I am sorry if this got long. I tried to trim it as much as possible. I have truely gone through a lot. From thinging I had a hidden infection, to thinking I had a bacterial infection, to thinking it was muscle related (well this one still might be in effect)
I think it is apparent that there is bacteria in everyones prostate. My last Uro#6 told me this, and it is documented all over https://ucpps.men. Bergers study posted at http://www.pelvicpain.org (?) shows the following:

So lastly, I figured, if my prostate was infected being viral or bacterial I would have at the very least had pain.

I was just wondering why I have semen in my urine sometimes. I have never had sex and I've quit masturbating about 2 months ago. Also sometimes when I'm taking a crap semen leaks out. What's wrong?

Hi bud,
Don't worry. I've had this for years especially when straining a bit on the loo.
Sounds like everything is fine and as you haven't ejaculated there is probably a slight build up but this is not a concern as it will be sorted by the body. It's a myth that men have to ejaculate every so often.

I too have had instances where there was semen in my urine or a brief release of semen after urinating. TOtally freaked me out but what I've since learned is that our body will release excess semen as a result of urinating or bowel movements. Although not a common thing, nor does it happen for everyone...it can and does happen. Nothing to worry about. Oh and by the way, this happened for me when I wasn't masturbating much and having little sex...sounds just like you.

Seriously gottaquestion, Have you ever taken Ephedrine? It's also called "mini-thins", and it's an over the counter asthma treatment/bronchial dilator. I've only taken it once, and the first and only time I did, took a piss, then just busted out a full load, no boner no nothin. It scared the (something) out of me and I never took it again. If you've ever taken it, that could be it. If not, it may be a prostate issue of other origins. That's a side effect of Ephedrine, I guess it does murder on your prostate.

If I look at a skin magazine but don't get off, later my urine will be all cloudy. I always assumed that was semen that leaked out while I was exited.

About taking a crap and having some semen leaking out of your penis. Remember that the prostate is being pushed on when you crap. That's the reason for the semen dripping out a bit.

This was the exact question I was looking for! The same exact thing happens to me. It is true about ephedra. I stopped taking it along time ago and it stopped. But now it has been happening a lot. I went to the urologist for it before I realized it was ephedra. He was not sure what it was and he said it is no sure sign of anything is wrong. I think it is just a build up that has to be released somehow. I don't think it has to do with the frequency of ejaculation. My wife and I had sex last night and it happened today. It also has happened when we did not have sex for a week or so.

I have the exact same thing happen to me too. It "comes" and goes every month or so and I have learned to live with it and just go with the flow. After I take a piss and put my stuff away, I feel like a little bit more has to come out and then I get an ALMOST climactic sensations and then I just start nutting right there. Like mentioned before, no erection, no excitement, sex 2-3 times a week with the wifey, and still, a full load just bursts out all over the toilet. I got to admit, I was a little scared at first but then I figured what the hell, no harm no foul.

Hi, I noticed whenever I am on cold/flu medication, there is a slight chance I might have semen-like discharge after urination, around once or twice throughout the whole course of medication (few days). The problem don't exist when I'm not on any medication.
Oh yeah, the only other time I enountered this was when I cease masturbation for a month once.
Is it a cause for concern?

Nothing to worry about. Not quite sure why it happens with medication, however I've had it happen to me several times after longer periods without masturbation or ejaculation. Don't give it another thought, just part of the way things happen for us sometimes. Others have come here with the same question.

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate that. There was no pain while experiencing the semen-like discharge after urination.
I was reading up on prostatitis and was scaring myself silly. I might just go see a doctor just to ease my paranoia.

I have noticed semen discharge in my urine many times when I had not had sex or masturbated regularly. There is nothing to worry about from my experience.

I am 25, a virgin and on no drugs whatsoever. I stopped masturbating completely about 6 weeks ago in anticipation of my upcoming marriage. I have also had semen in my urine recently. I assume (safely?) that it's just overflow, since I have had no nocturnal emissions. Additionally, I have had some semen pass while bearing down for a bowel movement. This also happens to me as well. I don't know why it happens. I am not on any sort of meds, prescription or otherwise. I have sex 2-3 times a week with my wife. I don't masturbate or get excited to the point of erection unless I am going to have sex. This happens to me about every 3 months or so and has been going on for the last 5 years. I figure there's nothing to worry about because everything still works well and I don't have any pain. Actually, I have learned to enjoy the little "burst" every so often. As far as wetting your pants, I usually take a stall when I'm at work and having one of my episodes. That way after I finish "peeing" I can stand there and let the load come out and wipe it off before going back to work.

I am very excited to read about others having the same issue. I am 24 years old and I masturbate regularly (at least once a day), I have lots of sex with my girlfriend, and I'm always sexually driven-- for anything and everything. This started about five years ago. After urinating, towards the end, a liquidly white fluid came out. It's been happening regularly. Whenever it happens; it's usually a day or two after I have sex. There's no pain, there's no discomfort, no wet stain on my underwear, NOTHING. It's just a little white discharge that follows my urine. It happened today, and I freaked out. Literally, I thought I had Gonorrhea. No other symptoms of Gonorrhea thought, just the milky discharge. I wonder what it is. Don't know what it is. It freaks me out. What I'm thinking is: Well, since I'm hard and horny most of the time. Sperm just accumulates in my prostate and comes out during urination. Or just old sperm that stays in my bladder, but that's highly unlikely--I think. Does anyone have an answer for this? Please!

I have the same exact thing happen to me, although it only seems to occur during a bowel movements. My symptoms most closley resemble Jan's, where it occurs at the end of urinating with no pain. It doesn't seem to be related to sexual activity, because sometimes it happens when I haven't been mastubating for a while, or sometimes a day after. I doubt its any medical "problem", unless at 18 I have something wrong with my prostate or developed an STD without ever having sex.

I just went to the bathroom and as I tried to get the last drop of urine out of my bladder (you know how you sort of squeeze your Kegel muscles) I noticed a thick yellowish fluid oozing out. It was semen! Approoximately a little less than a whole ejaculate's worth of semen came out. This has never happened to me before...should I be worried about this? Does anyone know why this happens?

I've heard people mention it here and other places before. Some get semen discharge when having a bowel movement. I think you just have too much semen being produced without discharge. When you squeezed it just got pushed out.

Don't worry about this at all. Its actually a fairly common thing and has happened to me on several occasions. If you've not masturbated or had an ejaculation lately that can lead to this, your muscles and the process of urination can cause this to happen. I freaked the first time it happened to me as well and I hadn't masturbated or ejaculated in a while either.

I get this sometimes when I pee after a bowel movement. I freaked too the first time it happened. It's just pressure on the prostate. I asked a urologist and he said it's very normal. He said a few guys come in a week worried sick over it.
I have more, but I figured this is enough. So, if anyone reads this one day, do not get obsessive like I did, it seems to be normal.
