I believe Tramadol raises serotonin levels - which could possbily help OCD.

Re: OCD
Although human clinical studies are lacking, there is a great deal of anecdotal evidence that Tramadol may be effective as an adjunct treatment for anxiety disorders like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and for mood disorders like depression. Tramadol not only acts on opioid receptors, but, like SSRI and SSNRI antidepressants, also inhibits serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine; 5-HT) and noradrenaline (norepinephrine) reuptake. This effect on neurotransmitters may account for Tramadol's potential value in treating anxiety and mood disorders.bti20 wrote:Webslave,

one day...
I have experienced that it helps greatly first hand. However, even though tramadol is not as addictive as the others, it is addictive. And just as addictive, for people like me who are ex pain killer addicts. Damn shame too. People who use pain medication for pain, are a lot less likely to become addicted. I used it for the ocd, and made a lot of progress with ocd, and CP. I was , responsible... well, what I called responsible with opiods, meaning I only took one a day. Just like my multi vitamin. It worked well for about a year, and then I found myself taking more. So I quit them all together, and had terrible withdrawl for a week, followed by severe depression for another week after.
