Tests

Post by treynor33 »

I'm going to see my urologist soon. So far in over 7 months of this he has only ran the initial Urine test for an infection which came back inconclusive, which I understand usually does. And a DRE  which after he said "oh your prostrate is fine".

What are the standard tests that he should have or could run on me after this length of time? I'm just trying to get an idea so I can ask him why he hasn't done anything else.

I need to eliminate some things in my mind, i.e., strictures, bladder outlet obstructions, IC, bladder cancer, etc. I don't think I can do that without some more tests.

Most of my symptoms have been urinary, with some pain occassionally and so far none of the things I have taken has made a much of a difference (Quercetin, Cardura, Glucos/Chon, Saw Palmetto, Prelief, etc)

I also tried Detrol LA which made things worse. I believe cause of the urine retention side effect.

Thanks for you help as always.
