Just pain

Post by chewymix »

Hi - I'm a little worried that my symptons are not the same as the majority here and I just want a bit or reassurance I guess. My main problem is pretty much based around pain that is made much worse by sitting. I have no frequency or burning issues but I do have pain in the 'pelvis' ie buttocks, coccyxx area, perineum and occasionally scrotal. Although these areas never feel right they feel very bad when I sit down.

I guess that is muscles are tight anyway when you sit on them you are likely to cause them more pain and also this pressure could irritate nerves that pass through the area? Has anyone else had symptons that is pretty much pain made much worse by sitting? I have read all about PNE and apart from making me freak I don't see how it can be that as its very rare and I have not had any surgery or anything like that. I do have an area in my left groin though that allways feels more 'odd' in that if I hold my leg in a certain position the legt inner thigh and left hand side of the base of my penis can go numb. This has only happenned twice though in the 2 years or more i've had this and I think that could be due to inguinal nerve being trapped in tight muscles?

Just trying to keep positive that physio can help me with this I guess so am hoping someone will let me know that they have similar type problems without the urgency thing.

thanks for the support guys

Just pain

chewymix I have just pain which is made worse by sitting (feels like you're sitting on a golf ball). I've had so many different treatments over the years and am now with a fantastic physio who is treating my pelvic muscle trigger points. It's very painful treatment and is slow progress, but I am getting better overall. A case of two steps forward, one step back.

All I have is pain as well and E.D. sometimes. Sitting does irritate me after a while, usually not immediately.

OK thanks for the responses - Yes my pain is made worse by sitting after a while but its not like I sit down and wham! pain!!

Good to know other guys are dealing with this too in pretty much the same way I am - I had the golf ball thing when this first started but that seems to have gone away over the last year or so.

thanks guys
