Prostatitis and fategue
Hi , new here. I had prostatitis ten years ago and have never been the same since. Over these ten years I have met many people who have also been hit with this. And just this week a employee who took time off because of the first symptoms.......oh boy
Among us ,one thing common (besides the pains we all know) we all had/have is fategue.Wake up in the morning :ready for bed at lunch time. I could not work properly for a couple of years. While over the years I do have much more energy it took a LONG LONG LONG time to get it back! Yet most sites I have visited don't address this dominate part of the disease.Instead the term CFS comes up.
Is this fatigue a common experience here with you guys?
thanks

For me yes - It was totally wierd as the DAY I first noticed that I had CPP type symptons I felt awful - Really tired and flue like. I have never had ANY bacteria found and I have no urological problems at all just pain so the flue like symptons were not the result of bacteria.
Sometimes I feel really tired throughout the whole day but for me excersise and getting out and about really helps - I have started to swim a couple of times a week after work and while it is often tough to motivate myself I have found that afterwards I do feel more 'alive' than before.
I guess over time it will resolve as I learn to relax the muscles that are burning up all that energy thats causing them to be tight.
One thing that happens with me is that often my legs feel achy. Not weak but my thighs seem to tire more easily and they will ache when I goto bed. Has anyone else ever had this? Its not all the time and again I think its related to the muscle tension and perhaps lack of enough good excersise.
I'd be interested to hear what others think
thanks

Yes.
Legs and feet ache or will feel cold. Cold from the butt down, common amongs my friends who had/have this. Nerves run through or near the prostate and , for me produced a lot of uncomfortable sensations. And this mostly happens if my butt gets cold from sitting on something cold or infact hard:This still bothers me a lot in the winter months and can send me back to bed untill it backs off.
In regards to exercise , when I felt better I would walk a lot and start a program. But if I did to much with that leg movement the whole thing could flare up again. At this point I have been 'conditioned' to be careful.
Although they did perscribe antibiotics I never had any bacteria found either .But I would spend days at a time not being able to get out of bed sweting like mad and felt like I was ready to start 'seeing things'. That was often durring the first 6 months but would return on and off for two years.
