Hi,
all was going well until I decided to take a break from the Elavil and now the pain is back pretty bad.
am just wondering, what is the likelihood of this problem being spinal rather than muscular? for some reason my pain seems to be quite specifically located in my left rear pelvis at the moment, but is referred to my entire pelvic region, with flashes of random testicular pain. great huh.
I have had x-rays in the past that show nothing and a colonoscopy but am wondering if I should go to an osteo or chiro. I am a student at the moment and can't really afford to spend time seeing the wrong person (physio) if it's actually a spinal problem.
This had been going on for so long and it's so boring. I've learned to chill out about it a lot this year but god I wish the pain and discomfort would end! Really very sharp pain at the moment.
I wish I could find someone who could take me seriously and actually help. Think I'll have to save my pennies and get over to America to see Dr Wise.
spinal problem?

What's interesting is that my physio has been seeing some back sufferers who's symptoms have been allievated by triggerpoint work in the pelvis. Of course, explaining to someone who has a back problem that doing triggerpoint work around and inside the anus isn't always easy

Re: spinal problem?
I had that as well, and it was from a major trigger point in my case.danno wrote:I am just wondering, what is the likelihood of this problem being spinal rather than muscular? for some reason my pain seems to be quite specifically located in my left rear pelvis at the moment, but is referred to my entire pelvic region,
However, I'd also recommend having the alignment of your lower back and pelvis checked out by an osteopath or manipulative physiotherapist (Just don't discount triger points until you have seen someone who is trained in their location and treatment).
